Volunteer with the Sherburne County Area United Way

Throughout the year, the Sherburne County Area United Way holds several events, including the annual Ladies Night Out and the annual Golf Tournament.  For all of our events, we are lucky to be supported by a great group of volunteers.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at any of our events, please contact us.

Get Involved with a SCAUW Committee

At the Sherburne County Area United Way, we have a variety of committees that assist us in planning and implementing the various aspects that enable our organization to run smoothly.  These committees are largely made up community members that have an interest in the committee's field.  Below are three committees that are currently looking for additional members.  If you are interested in becoming involved in any of the committees please contact us by calling 763-633-5886 or using using the links to email provided on this website.

Community Impact Committee

The Community Impact Committee focuses on impact in the community and meeting community needs.  This committee meets once a month and is instrumental in planning the community assessment, the annual community forum, and is a great resource within the community.

Marketing Committee

The marketing committee is integral in planning the Sherburne County Area United Way's marketing strategy.  This committee meets periodically throughout the year and plans the marketing strategy, gives suggestions on marketing materials such as the brochure, and brainstorms ways to better promote the Sherburne County Area United Way.

Campaign Committee

The campaign committee is responsible for deciding the strategy for the annual campaign.  This committee meets periodically throughout the year, most often during the summer in the run-up to the September campaign kick-off.  This committee is instrumental in creating the fundraising plan and has a large responsibility in creating ways to bring in new donors.

iEmpower Committee

The iEmpower committee is responsible for overseeing the iEmpower youth program. This committee typically meets once a month to plan how to promote, fund and expand the iEmpower program.

The Women's Leadership Council

Over a year ago, the Sherburne County Area United Way started our Women's Leadership Council.  Since then, this group has held two fashion shows and the annual Ladies' Night Out and has funded self-reliant programming, which was implemented this past summer.  The Women's Leadership Council is always interested in having new people become involved in the group.  For more information please call 763-633-5886, or contact us through the links provided on the website.
